I saw that image and immediately wanted to draw it. After receiving permission from the photographer, I went to town! This was initially just going to be a simple little sketch-with-color to do between sessions of working on my commission, but it sort of took on a life of its own. And- well. I'm really quite fond of this piece. It captures the youth and sweet sort of passion that I imagine for my characters Dali and Caleb. So, it's them. The sunset & ocean were referenced off of various images from google search.

I'm not quite sure why I've never commented on this one before, as i've visited you page many a time. The sunset and ocean colours are astounding, as is the way you used the colours to portray Caleb and Dali in front of it. It looks "real", not like many pieces these days where the emotions look fake or things are highly over... balanced? I dunno the word... Anyway. The sketchy sparkles just complete the picture too. Once again great job!
